Hi! this is my first post.

Briefly about me I have suffered from Chronic anxiety for the past 37 years or more and tried everything from CBT, relaxation, exercise, acupuncture, hypnosis and ALL types of medication (SSRI's, beta blockers & benzo's).

I am physically fit (55yo) chlosterol fine.

The only relief are Benzo's and I am posting just to see if anyone knows of any other medication that works on a more permanent basis and for a longer time. Yesterday for example was walking dog with my daughter, knowone around, feeling fine not particularly anxious but then my legs started feeling uneasy and got worse until they gave way and i fell down, fortunately on grass, took 1 diazepam (benzo) and after about 15-20 mins started relaxing and legs where fine, this has now happenned quite a few times. Doctors don't really have a clue as to why its happenning or what to give to stop it.

Last year I took Proprananol (Bete blocker) and the affects were fantastic and i felt a new person, could cope with anything, but after 6 months just stopped working, switched to atenonol but didn't work.

Currently taking Sertraline (50mg SSRI) at night, stops the anxious feelings in the morning but not the weak legs or fear of meeting new people.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated before I go and see another specialist. Thanks
