Heavy Period

Hi, Should I be concerned about having a heavier than normal period this month?

I am on the pill, and I usually have one rough day of my period and then the rest is not too bad. This month it is different, it's really heavy and painful. It feels like it used to before I was on the pill, but the pill is still working for me because I got it on time, etc. when I started taking non-active pills.

I'm sure it's just a bad period, anything can affect it, but I am jumping to the worst, as I have had some pain in the pelvic area. I thought it was muscular, as it has gotten better with stretching, but now I am jumping to irrational conclusions.

When was your last smear? and do you bleed after sex?
I would say that anything that is irregular with bleeds should be reported to your doc..

My last smear was at the end of october, and it was normal. I have had normal smears every year since I've been getting them. And no, I have had no issues with bleeding after sex.

Thats good then.. Could well just be a heavy period... if it was me, i would see if its the same next month, and if so then see a GP...

just keep an eye on the heavy period.....if you get several you could end up anaemic......watch out for excessive tiredness and dizzy spells.....
any period that lasts well over a week and has you changing towels every hour needs investigating....dont panic though...could be a hormonal imbalance

It's not that heavy at least. Just more than I am used to I guess with this pill. I do feel slightly dizzy/off balance, maybe I should go get a cheeseburger, hah.
