Diazepam 2mg for flying?

This is a great thread, I have not been able to get back on a plane since 2006 when I tried ( and failed) my luggage was on the plane and I bailed at the terminal check in!

I wasn't really in full blown panic but just felt so out of it! Had Valium etc but took it too late and yeah we'll the rest is history!

I've avoided holidays with air travel and largely stayed grounded!!!!

My fear is not being able to just get up and get off! Feel my feet on the ground etc!!!!

They flying couse thing seems of some value though?!

Yes; I would agree here ...2mg of diazepam would hardly touch the sides.

Be safe though and use the meds' sensibly.

The course has definitely helped me with my flying fear. I think someone actually talking to me about everything that happens has helped as I had a fear of the unknown and media hype about anything that had happened.

I always thought I would feel better if I sat along side the pilot, as I wanted to have control!!! I don't think my fellow passengers would feel very safe.

I did the Flying Without Fear Course.

I never realised that pilots have to retake their licence every 6 months and if they don't pass on the retake then that is their career over with.

Educating myself has made me feel better.

They have experts on hand to talk through everything with you, one to one.

I have a flight looming and feeling very positive about it, which is unheard of!!!

Gary, I have repled to your PM too.

Maybe go back to your GP and check the dosage with them for the meds they have given you.

hey gary, I realize this is an old post,
but 2mg is very low and really (for me) it didn't do much ,
maybe it took the edge off.
I do know this,
it takes over a month for it to leave your body.
I've tried the detox stuff you buy over the counter and paid top $ but none of that stuff works and after reading the reviews on them I felt stupid for wasting my money.
