dp/dr and the effects of trazadone

I wonder if anyone else is on trazadone? I have been on it for 3 months now and don't feel any better. During the day I feel really tired but can't sleep. At night I only have about 3-4 hours sleep then I waken and the dp/dr starts all over again. I just don't know what to do. Reading this site lets me know I am not alone with this problem. Does anyone have any coping tips?

I was on trazadone for a couple of years. In the USA it is mostly prescribed for sleep even though technically it is an anti-depressant. For me it was prescribed with another anti-depressant which was used for anxiety and the trazadone was prescribed for sleep which worked for me. Possibly you aren't on a high enough dose or you need to be on another medicine. I went off of the trazadone because it made me feel sleepy during the day and I felt too tired. I would get back with your doctor if the medicine is not working for you. I hope you get this figured out.
