aggression and bad temper as side effect on Prozac

Good morning everyone,

I have a question.
I have been on prozac for 17 days today and I am noticing a horrible horrible thing.
I take 20mg in the morning (8am) and around midday i find that I am extremely irritable, bad tempered and aggressive.

I smashed a glass by accident and was so cross that I wanted to smash my all glasses. (silly things like this that are alarming me)

Am i going mad?

It seems you just have a sensitive mind. Silly things can alarm lots of people. But when we are strung out, so to speak, we can over react.

Dont listen to that , if you are experiencing agressive behaviour or feelings with Prozac then get back to your GP and get off the medication and on to something less stimulating like maybe Lustral or Cipramil

Prozac can cause agression and angry outbursts , this usually indicates that you will get the worst side of the medication

I was on 60mg of Prozac for 10 years for bulimia, I then switched to Lustral, then last Summer I went on Prozac again , oh my God what a difference , I felt really really nervous and worried (anxiety) and I was losing the head with my Kids, suicide also crossed my mind. However I got off them very quickly I now do very well with Lustral again.

Im with zac55 on this one , see your GP , he will best advise , some meds do have strange and dangerous side effects
