    Metoprolol

    Any advise please?

I don't suffer from constant heart racing unless I eat to much sugar or come into a direct dispute.

My anxiety is more other symptoms physical and "invisible" about constant worry so I am a bit concerned that I shouldn't be taking these.

The leaflet advised that it was used for various reasons but anxiety wasn't one of them

Why did your doctor prescribe them? Do you have high blood pressure or a fast heartbeat?

I have been on this medication now for over 2 months and they are really not too bad. I had a high heart rate episode and was in the hopsital for a couple days and prescribed 50 mg twice daily upon leaving.

Sometimes now I find my BP drops too low in the mornings, but no real other side effects. Slows my heart rate down so even if I do get anxious its not so bad anymore.

If you are really concerned talk to your Dr or Pharmcy and they can let you know side effects and other concerns.
