Tablet concern ?

anyone know if i will be ok taking strepsils extra strenght when im on Omeprazole 20mg ? i allways get paranoid about taking tablets so some help please guys thank you

I should think that would be perfectly fine. If you are concerned, pop into your local chemist?

Yeah, anything you can buy on the shelf is safe.
You can always ask... I had a chemists own brand sleep aid, while I was on ant-depressants, but they were behind a glass cabinet. So they not daft..

Hi - you will be fine - like Dave said anything a bit too strong is behind the counter - should be no interactions there!

I doubt if you'd have a problem but it's always worth reading the information leaflet where they detail common interactions. If in doubt, check with a pharmacist.

However, it's not true that all drugs off the shelf are automatically safe with prescription drugs. For example, there are some anti-histamines which raise seratonin levels and can interact with certain anti-depressants. St. John's wort is another one to avoid if on ADs. It's always worth checking.
