    Review with my GP

I had my monthly review with my GP and she seems pleased that I have managed to keep my anxiety under control. She had had a letter from Dr J and was not angry that I had gone over her and made an appointment to see him. She is also happy about my occasional diazepan and zopiclone use. So far this year my diazepam use has been nil. I think I have taken about five zopiclone on separate occasions. I also had my lithium levels which are 0.66ml which is lower than I had thought but still in the therapeutic range. My thyroid and liver function is normal which is good considering how long I have been taking this drug. We did not talk about mirtazapine and although my weight is creeping up again it seems to be doing its job i.e. keeping my mood level. I think that although my anxiety levels have been considerable as I am not suffering from a psychiatric illness and I am coping there is very little that they can do. So at the moment I am thankful for that. I have some pretty loony moments and I told her so.EJ

Although I don't post often I still lurk and I was really pleased to read this EJ. You should have posted it in the Success Stories forum IMO.

Nevertheless, I hope you continue to do well - and don't worry about the 'loony moments'...I have them everyday

Thanks Guys I feel very warmed by your kind messages. I feel a lot more stable and it allows the lithium and the mirtazapine to do their work. The 'loony' moments are bit like depersonalisation or derealisation and if I am brave enough will work on that during some hypnosis sessions I have booked in April. Having to go private this time but at least I can go at my own pace. They are with a local GP who has years of experience in hypnosis. EJ
