imipramine

Hi I was wondering if I could get some feedback. I have been suffering anxiety for a few months as you well know. I was originally put on lexapro and then effexor(evil meds) they made me worse. I was only on each of them a few days and began having suicidal thoughts. Last week my doc perscribed tofranil (imipramine) I started taking 12.5 mg on friday and will move to 25 mg soon. I am curious if this drug worked for anyone. It helped me as a kid for my school phobia but I have been suffering lots of DP/DR lately which has caused me to over anylize everything about life. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever sleep or eat normally without meds. Any advice I can get would be awesome

Its a very old drug but still used because it is very effective, give it a try for a couple of months, seems you are on a low dose 150mg is usual dose for anxiety
