OCD and CBT

Hi all

Has anyone had cbt therapy for ocd? In the books I have looked at they don't show how to apply cbt to ocd only to anxiety and depression.
Any advice will be appriciated : )

Hi - what type of OCD do you suffer with - rituals or thoughts? Only I have just been diagnosed with the above (thoughts) and am being sent some stuff on CBT - are you taking any meds for it? I am due to start a combo of citalopram and olanzapine (small dose) - I will let you know re the info I get.

There are a few CBT books out there Brent that are aimed squarely at ocd, the ocd workbook being one that I got on well with. Also, Break free from ocd is another good one.

I suffer with touching things more than once so it is repetative ocd more than anything else. I am on citalopram 20mg.
Can you get one to one therapy to deal with just ocd?
