    Breathing

If I'm breathing when I'm asleep (I presume I must be because I slept for around 9 hours or not o_O) then my breathing will not stop? Why when am I awake is it so hard to breathe? Pressure on my lungs and feeling like they can't take in air and tightness and gasping. IF they work fine when I'm asleep then that should help towards the belief I am not dyi8ng right? And that it is something i consciously add to? Something built into my anxiety state?x

It's making me constantly dizzy and sweaty and horrible and I can't rest, I get tension headaches and neck ache and it feels like my head will explode. I can't even SHOWER at the moment because how can I stand in a shower? i can hardly stand right! I tried and it made my chest extremely tight and I had to rush out x

    Re: Breathing

I am always thinking about how I am breathing. I can't tell what comes first, the bad breathing or the thinking about it but as soon as they're here they don't go away.
I just feel weak and so poorly and I can't even go out because I feel so starved of oxygen and like my head is actually muffled and tight and everything is hot and aches because of the hyperventillation I presume..
just feels like I have abubble of air at the bottom of my ribs/above my belly that is constricting my lung space. it hurts there to press too x

    Re: Breathing

sorry your feeling so horrible i find that the worst anxiety symptom the breathing i get into phases of being a bit obssessed with it coz its always on my mind i hate it and its a hard cycle to get out of and yeah it is hyperventilating making you feel so horrible your supposed to breath through your stomach with your mouth closed thru your nose thats what im doin a lot of instead of chest breathing coz thats just hyperventilating us its hard coz i still feel like i have to take a big breath to get a good breath if you no what i mean just try to relax and practice stomach breathing if you can.

    Re: Breathing

Thanks for replying =) Yeah I try to breathing thing and abdominal breathing but because I'm so used to this tense breathing the other breathing just feels odd?
Do you not feel strange when you try to "relax" your breathing and breathe slower and all of the stuff you get told? I start feeling like I'm suffocating and like I'm not getting right amount of air and then go back to my crppy breathing =( x

    Re: Breathing

I'm sure it's nothing serious because, like you said, you're fine when you sleep. Have you had a chest x-ray just to make sure there's nothing else going on?
