IBS and Hypnotherapy .

Has any one tried hypnotherapy for treating IBS and anxiety, and if so was it successful?

Hi there

I have tried two different hypnotherapists for my IBS and have to be honest and say that neither helped.

In saying that I really do want to beleive that hypnotherapy can help so have purchased Michael Mahoney's IBS audio programme 100, its quite expensive (about £60 new) but I managed to get a used one from ebay.

It has 4 cd's which you have to listen every day for 100 days. I am currently on day 50 so have a while to go. Although I enjoy it and find it very relaxing so far I have'nt really seen an improvement in my symptoms. But fingers crossed still have a while to go

Hope you find it helps by the time you get to day 100. I did see a hypnotherapist for a consultation and she said it would take 12 sessions at £50 a go.
