find posts i started or replied to

Is there a way to find the posts I've started or replied to without hunting for them or having an email sent to me?

In search at the top it gives the option for 'Threads i've started' and 'view all your posts' but that's all i know about, it would be good if there was notification on here when you log in if you've subscribed to a thread rather than like you say having an email, as you might want to see a post but it's not a thread you've started but you have posted on it.
