    Citalopram, yet again!!

Hi everyone, well I've been on 10mg for 10days, some shakiness in the mornings, a couple of good days in the middle, some nausea and tummy upset and dry throat which eased this week. GP said that 10mg was not enough so to go up to 20mg. Took my first 20mg yesterday and have felt extremely tired. fell asleep in the afternoon and slept for 10 hours last night. feel very drowsy even now and i haven't taken the second one yet! Anyone else get this? They did help me 4 years ago so i just don't know at the moment.

    Take care

Hi Daisybun, I have been on them for nearly three weeks and am still only on 10mg, I woke up about 6. oclock this morning in a panic and had burning sensations in my arms, I was really frightened. I am also very tired, I didn't get up untill 12. oclock today, then I had a nap at about 4. oclock. Glad I not the only one. What were the withdraw symtomsl like when you came of them 4 years ago?

    Best wishes,

    Polly

    Hi All

Citalapram made me very very drowsy and weak and sleepy all the time I was on it. Hangover feeling in the mornings and completely zapped.

Withdrawal from Citalapram should be slow as with all ssri's and your gp can advise.

    Take care all.

Hi and thanks, well another drowsy day and a headache again. polly last time i came off them i had no problems at all. I don't think I noticed the side effects last time as i was in a depression and felt very bad anyway. Just hope they start to work soon!!

    Take care
