    Re: absolutely devastated

Thank you all for your support, it's only your kindness that's keeping me going at the moment.
My mum saw the anethetist yesterday (Tuesday), and she said that the operation to remove my mum's pancreas would take approximately 8-10 hrs maybe more. The anethetist also said that my mum could have a major stroke or heart attack during the operation. I think basically she was saying that my mum could die during the op.
The anethetist spoke with the pancreatic surgeon yesterday, and the next step is that my mum is going to have another endoscopy, under general anesthetic, so they can get a biopsy of the pancreas to see if the cyst is cancerous, and also to see how she copes with the general anesthetic for around 45 miniutes.
I am just hoping and praying that it isn't cancer.
Sorry for the long post. I hope it's made sense.
    Thank you.
    joanne.

My mum is finally having her endoscopy on Thursday, after weeks of waiting. I am really anxious at the moment, as you can imagine.
I really want to thank you all for your support.
