    gas

    hi this mornming
    5;45am
    got up for work went to kitchen it stank of gas opened door was fine
    just got home now smells fine
    we have two boilers
    heating and hot water seprarate only the heating one has ever been serviced
    worried the hot water boiler is faulty
    i know u cant smell carbon monoxide but still worried
    mum been in all day got headache and tired

    Emma - you know the only advice we can give you is to get a carbon monoxide tester and ask your parents to get the boiler serviced.

    If they won't do either of these things then I am not sure what you can do to be honest.

    You have had these worries for a long long time now and nothing bad has ever happened has it?

    You can call 0800 111 999 National Gas Emergency Service, they will advise you.

    it hasnt nicola haha
    its just ocured to me we have never had the water boiler serviced
    its just because the gas smell was soo strong this morning sent me into overdrive and openong door cured the smell
    its not their now dont know if i was imagainingit

    realised what caused it
    wind blown pilot out and if u use hot water when thats out gives out gas smell even though never noticed it before
    was after i had a shower the smell
    lol
    tried it again now same smell
    thankfully are other shower is connected to the electriicity so can use that

    Yeah that can happen with those type of boilers.

    I doubt it could have harmed you Em. It's more likely the stress of the situation and the anxiety has caused the sore head. I have a gas cooker and the oven keeps going out but the gas keeps flowing. I don't realise until the place stinks of gas. Never done me any harm.

    Try to relax as i'm sure you're just fine.
