worried i have made my 3 year old un-social

my 3 year old will start nursery in september, due to having social anxiety i have never taken him to mum+tots groups or any other child/baby groups he has always been at home with me, i feel really bad about it, when other children come near or speak to him in public (supermarket etc) he seems really unsure and nerveous around other children and shy's away....

he has an older brother and sister so he plays with them (athough they are 7+10)

anyone else been in this position, its killing me that i cant socialise and take him to groups, i just feel really unconfident

    :( :(

    Hello
I haven't been in a similar situation as I am only 17. But I can understand your concern. Don't blame yourself it must be really hard for you as a mum. You have the option of seeing if a close friend or family member could start taking him to a club tots group for an hour so he can get more used to children his own age and this way he won't feel overwhelmed in september when its all day and he doesn't have his mum or family friend. Just an idea. Please don't blame yourself though. Hope I've helped xxx
