dread fetching my kids from school

Ive always dreaded getting my children from school, the eldest is at secondary so comes home on his own, but I have 2 others to get from primary. Ive never heard anyone else have this problem, but standing in that playground waiting for the kids is a nightmare. They've changed schools due to a house move but Im still the same.

I absolutely hate getting the kids from school, mine are in year 4 & 5 at the moment so they walk to the car at the back entrance but my youngest is starting reception in Sept so we will have to go through the waiting in playground again.
Hubby has had to go today as I'm just too wobbly and dizzy.

My son has just left high school, but I remember well when he was at primary, I would start having a panic attack half way up the street and was terrified standing with the other mum's, but I have to say the over exposure did me good and improved my confidence eventually.

You will get to the stage where it does not bother you, believe me!!!

Re: dread fetching my kids from school

Hi people, I didnt get email notifications and forgot my password (not a good combo!!) so sorry for late replies. Daughter starts secondary next month, very nervous for her but fingers crossed. Its a 20 minute walk too so Im a bit worried about the roads (live in a city). Will just be getting the youngest which is worse as I cant wander up and down between the 2 girls classes lol, have to stand outside one like Billy no-mates. Hope everyone is well. xx
