Nervous about needle biopsy tomorrow

my doctor finelly decided that I should get a needle biopsy on my breast. He said that my tissue is firmer on the right breast and concerned that the nipple is a purple color. He said its almost no chance its cancer but I still think that its the only thing it could be why else would he want the biopsy done? Is there something else he could be looking for? Im only 34 I dont want to die from breast cancer.

Don't assume the worst, the worst is curable too so keep that in mind.

My daughter found a lump in her breast when she was 5 months pregnant. We were all worried sick. She had a biopsy which she said wasnt as painful as she expected. She said that staff at the hospital were very understanding,very informative and reassuring.
Thankfully it was nothing serious. I cant remember what the lump was called but they said that these kind of lumps were found frequently and it would disappear on its own but if it didnt she could have a small operation to remove it. Sure enough the lump disappeared.

Thank you for replying. I had my needle biopsy today, your right it wasent so bad, now comes the hardest part waiting for the results. I am so scared I am going to have cancer. my doctor who did the test said that he would be his clinic to me that it comes back negitive for cancer, I know he was trying to reassure me but Im still really scared.

They told my mum that it was cancer on the day of the biopsy, i think they have a pretty good idea if it is cancer by the feel of the lump and by the mamogrammes. I also had a biopsy and they told me mine was a cycst type lump. So i dont think you have anything to worry about.

Got my results today, I think its ok but Im not sure here is what it says:

There are cohesive benign ductal epithelial cell groups noted. Myoepithelial cells are seen within the ductal cell groups. The background also shows naked oval nuclei. Findings suggest benign fibroadennomatiod change.

Does this mean that I could deveope cancer or should I be ok?
