Another Anxiety filled week again!!

The last week I have felt awful..

Chest pains, dizziness, loss of apetite, head pressure.

The first half of the week I was convinced I had a heart condition and then the second half I thought I was having a stroke or brain tumour.

I'm laughing now I have read this because it sounds crazy!!

I just can't get out of the cycle of feeling awful.

I know it has to be anxiety but I just can't seem to shake these negative thoughts. I've tried meds and CBT but both did not work for me.

I'm currently drinking far too much as it seems to be the only thing that relaxes me. I know it's not the answer but if I don't have a couple of glasses of wine befor bed time I cannot sleep due to the 1000 thoughts going round in my head.

Is anyone else going through this?

I'm starting to get really down. I have felt tthis way on and off for 3 years.

Will there ever be an end to it..........

I've felt this way on and off for 18 years now. It's not always bad, there are times that I am quite contented but there are other times where I feel the anxiety coming back and once it takes hold it takes me months/years to shake off again.

I am waiting for CBT myself now and am staying open minded for now, however if that does nothing I am just going to try to accept that anxiety is a part of my life and deal with keeping it under control.

I think CBT works for a lot of people, but it wasn't for me. I hope it works for you

I just hope that after 18 years of this I can't resort back to not having these feelings as they have become part of me.
