Can you mix the two? It doesn't mention anything about it on the little leaflet that comes with the medication but I'm sure I saw something on the NHS website saying it's not a good idea to mix them.
I've only just started taking Cit so I've no intention of drinking whilst I'm suffering from the side-effects but is it ok once the SEs have worn off?

You can drink with them but be careful you don't overdo it!

I was on CIt for 18 months , still acted normally on them that is had a drink when i wanted . No weird effects lol just drink in moderation its fine
Erm, I drunk some times, only side effects, next day, depression, anxiety

I'd agree, but add that you may need less alcohol to achieve what you would without Citalopram. It may be a sensible idea to have a drink or two at home just to see how you react, and then have a buddy who can keep an eye out for you when you're out on the town.Originally Posted by Vanilla Sky
