Coming off

Hi,

I'm currently in the process of coming of Citalopram, at the moment I'm at 10mg one day on and one day off. What is the best way to completely come off them?

I've been on them for about 10 months now. Started at 20mg then up to 30mg. Last few months I've gradually dropped down, so I'm at 10mg now.

I was on 10mg of Citalopram for 8 months and came off of them over 2 weeks doing alternative days and then stopping completely. I have now been off of them for just over 7 months. I did not notice any side affects at all during the alternative days it was not until i had been off for 3 days and then basically i was on and off sick every hour for about a day and after that no side effects at all. Hope it goes well for you.

I came off 20mg Citalopram in May, I took it alternate days for a week then stopped, I noticed no side effects whatsoever.

Well I've been doing alternate days for 3 weeks or so now. I take it that it would be ok to come off completely now then. Considering 10mg is a low dose I assume that I won't have any side effects.
