thump in chest

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has ever had a thump in there chest,i will be lying down resting and all of a sudden i will get like a sudden thump,its like for one beat my heart has hit on my chest ???
however my pulse rate doesnt vary its just very scary.If anyone else has experienced this could they please let me know,as it is starting to really stress me out. thanks guys

Hi Kris

It sounds like ectopic heartbeat i suffer with them it's when your heart misses a beat it's not harmful and yes it can be quite scary.

How many have you had? and how long have you had them? i.ve had them for 5yrs now at first i thought i had something wrong with me and was told it's down to anxiety, there are lots of us on here with the same thing.

sounds like ectopic beats, very horrible, very common and apparently very harmless
