white patch of dots on lip?

I noticed it months ago, but it's gotten bigger I think.
My lip is rather warm or hot, so I looked at it.
It's like a small whitish patch but if you look closer you'll see tiny little dots.
I've no idea what it is!
I never mentioned it toy doctor as I had forgotten about it.
Any ideas?

Could be normal, could be thrush, infection, especially if feeling warm etc. Could be tiny ulcers.... Try putting bonjela on it or something like that to see if it goes away.

Ya it's not sore at all !
I did wonder if it was scar tissue from maybe having my wisdom teeth out, but it's since seemed to get bigger!
I'll get some lip/mouth stuff to see if it clears it up.
N show my doctor next time I'm there.
It's not an STD, Ive had all those tests n not been with anyone since.

Well after looking on google images, they look nothing like cancer ha ha but Fordyce granules seems to fit! The only treatment is laser! Well as long as it doesn't get worse, they aren't noticeable thankfully.
But I will get my doctor to take a look

Hi Anxious Gal, I too have these little white dots called Fordyce granules. I used to worry about them I googled it years ago. It's normal have a read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordyce%27s_spot

It's just cosmetic.

Louise its on the outside but very near the corner so you can't see it unless you look really close.
