A question for the ladies in the houuuuse...

I bit the bullet and booked in for a smear test - I hate them, they are so painful but it has been 11 years........

It was really really painful and I screamed omg!!!
I also had some blood and the bottom of my back hurt too

Anybody else had this experience plz?!

I've only had one smear (I'm 24) but I had blood - apparently this happens quite often, she did tell me why but I can't remember (it wasn't a health issue, just something that some cervixes are like). I also had spotting for a few days so that might happen to you too.

They can be painfull, so it annoys me when people say they aren't ment to hurt!
But also it depends on the person doing it and the size of the instruments they use too.
Maybe you could take some pain meds before hand to take the edge off?
It may not hurt as much this time around .

Thanks for replies. It's been about 15 hours since and I still have a bit of blood

I think the nurse was too forceful, you'd think that as she's a woman and obviously has these done herself, that she would be more careful

How strange that I'm not worried about the outcome!! Was more anxious about having the test!
