    Sinus problems with Citralopram

I was wondering if anyone has had very bad sinus or rhinitis with Citraopram
I had to come off it before because it's just a wartery liquid, I do have lung
problems anyway. This is my third week after my anxiety has returned due
to my poor health, it's a shame as I sleep well on it and feel much better l'm
just on 10mg. I have thought of reducing the dose to see if it still works but
it's impossible trying to cut it in half with a pill cutter it doesn't break evenly.
It does say on the leaflet that it is a side effect, my doctor wants to change
me to Sertralin but I'm frightened as I think that it gives you insomnia. Any
feed back would be well received.

If I take my citalopram during the day, I get very very sniffly and needing to blow my nose. However, if I take it just before I go to bed, i don't experience this at all!

I too have lung problems and find this is the best way for me to take the citalopram

Thanks for your reply I have been taking Citralopram in the evening, and so
far only you have replied, my chest is now very bad I have lung disease which
makes a lot of fluid anyway, unfortunately I have to come off. I see you are
struggling Citralopram is very good and takes a while to stabilise and work

    Re: Sinus problems with Citralopram

Hi, I have been on Cit for 8 weeks now and have noticed the last 3-4 weeks that every morning I feel as though I have a cold but it wears off after a bit, also a lot of the time I can feel as though there is loose phlegm at the back of my throat which just won't shift, I asked my GP about it when I saw him 2 weeks ago and he said it could be the tablets but he wasn't sure, but I'm convinced it is. I am now on 20mg after starting 2 weeks at 10mg and although I get a few good days I still get a lot of bad, I was hoping it would be working well by now.
