About 6 weeks ago I had a meltdown at work and swore and kicked out at the security barriers at work. This was as a result of pressure of work (I'm the only person who can use a specific database), and having to share a small office with a very irritating guy who had serious hay fever and who was constantly coughing and sniffing very loudly. I was temporarily move out of that office for a while. I will also have a hearing to go to at some point to decide on disciplinary action.
I asked for GP for help. He put me on citralopram and referred me to the local mental health team. I've now got my first appointment with the mental health team on Friday. Not sure what will happen. I've had quite a bit of therapy in the past. I had CBT 20 years ago. Later spent some time have Transactional Analysis (individual and group), hypnotherapy and lifecoaching. None change my basic anxiety problems, feeling down etc. I hope this will be more effective.
I've also had to see a doctor at Occupational Therapy at work. The bad news is that he says I should be moving back into my old office as the hay fever season has come to an end. I don't like this. I prefer working in my new office and the coughing/sniffing guy just irritates me generally. Not looking forward to that.
