how to tell side effects from your own anxiety

Today, I feel tortured by the indecision of whether this unrelenting anxiety is being caused by the Cipralex (9 days on it now) or my own anxiety condition.

How do you know and how long do you keep trying before asking for medication to be changed.

I wish I could just relax and believe in the drugs.

9 days is very early to see effects, escitalopram ( as your medication is known in the uk) can take 4-6 weeks to begin working fully I think, sometimes longer. Try to stick with it

As you're only 9 days in, it's probably side effects. The side effects should start to improve in the next few days.
