Escitalopram and alcohol?? Advice....

Well I have a busy weekend planned and I'm on day 7 or 8 of escitalopram and want a few beers tonight when I'm out, nothing to get me out of it just nice and tipsy. Experiences please people

i haven't had any trouble with it, just don't overdo it. also don't be surprised if you are more anxious or depressed for a day after.

There actually isn't any proven facts of any interaction with the two. I have been on Escitalopram for years and I have never experienced anything bad when I have had a drink. It's like anything else, just drink in moderation and stay safe.

Yeah considering i went out Friday and Saturday I was good, well aside from coming down with a nasty cold. Just drinking some fresh lemon and honey in hot water mmmmm lovely drink of goodness

I havent drank for years since starting tabs as im too scared - always feel like a party pooper, this is reassuring

I don't really drink either but did have a snowball eggnog thingy at Christmas and a lager one night and was fine :-) I probs won't drink again until next Christmas now though lol. I even avoid drinks with cafeine in them too ever since I started suffering with anxiety.

I had 4 coolers one night over the Christmas break and i was fine. I have a drink or two here or there and it hasn't been a problem at all. I didn't feel any different the next day either.

I guess unless you decide to get completely plastered you will be okay.
