Hiding anxiety/admitting anxiety

Hi,
I am a former sufferer, and am hoping to get a couple of articles published - just doing my research!

I'm writing 2 articles at present:
1. On men and depression - is it harder for them to talk?
2. On hiding depression at work (would prefer women for this one as pitching to a women's magazine).

I basically need a few 'real life' stories. IDentity can be protected if you want.

In my opinion its definately harder for a man to admit to anxiety and depression.

I believe in old fashioned values (even though im only 30) - the man is the provider for the household and its hard to admit to problems to their friends as they dont want to appear "weak", this has a lot to do with "lad" culture these days. "Lad" behaviour such as going to the pub and nightclubs at the weekend becomes more and more difficult, particularly in my case my confidence got less and less and I ended up staying in rather than going out.

Thats only my experience though so others may have different opinions.
