5th week citalopram - panic attacks starting

Hi, I have searched other posts but most of what I've found people start feeling something from them now. I've been on cit for 5 weeks now and feel no better, I'm only getting the yawning, waking up early and more deep thoughts than usual. Do you think I should keep going or go and see the doc. I'm taking nothing else with them. I've just started getting panic attacks on a regular basis where it was rare for me to have them before. Is this normal at 5 weeks, thanks for your help.

I had a backwards blip at 4 and a half weeks, lasted about a week and then I was ok.
I think talking to your doctor about it is probably a good idea.

20mg is still really low. When I was on Citalopram I didn't get the full effect until about 2 months in when I was on 40mg. Your mood does take time to stabilise when you first start on it, I was all over the place for the first 6-8 weeks but eventually I did start feeling a lot better.

20mg is the middle dosage as 40mg is now the highest. Some people need more than others to get the same effect.

This time I have had to go up to 30mg to feel well again, previously I had only been on 20

Why are my panic attack becoming more frequent. I thought this was supposed to be helping me?
