Starting Venlafaxine - third time lucky?

Hello,

After a rough ride with fluoxetine and sertraline I have taken my initial 37.5mg dose of Venlafaxine XR this morning. I reduced my daily 150mg does of sertraline to 100mg then 50mg. I was supposed to stay on 50mg for 7 days before switching but I only managed 4 before the withdrawal effects (mainly dizziness and headaches) became to great to cope with. Venlafaxine seems to have killed the effects which is good, but I know it's too early to say if it's right for me in the long term.

I'm hopeful I'm third time lucky though, switching meds is not a nice process!

Good luck im also on venlafaxine and found it alot easier to start up than the SSRI's, theres a running venlafaxine thread, come and join us xx
