    Fluox wobble after 3 months!

I've been on Fluox for about 3 months now and doing OK but yesterday I had the biggest wobble. I felt so anxious and depressed I just wanted to go to bed and hide away . I haven't felt like that in months. I'm hoping it's just a blip- has anyone else had anything similar?

Yes, so sorry to hear you are having a blip. I have felt bettr for many weeks, but now, after 2.5 months, have started getting depressed and anxious again. I am only on 10mg, so that maybe why.

    How are you now?

    Best wishes,

    Sally

Well guys I would monitor it and see if the anxiety lasts more than a few days/week if it does then you should discuss it with your GP's as you may need your dose adjusted? Keep us up to date about the outcome and you can always pop in the chat room for words of encouragement

Thanks, I'm not feeling quite so bad today although I did have that sinking feeling walking into work (maybe that's just a Monday thing?!). I briefly considered bunking off but made myself go in and kept my head down all day. It's just weird as I haven't felt that bad since being on the meds. I guess it's a good reminder of why I'm taking them though in case I get complacent. Sometime I just feel so nuts I annoy myself

Hang in there Blips on SSRI's can happen :/ We are not machines we a only human and I know it may feel that sometimes you are "nuts" I assure you, you are not and anxiety effects a lot of people, some even who you may recognise, famous people, politicians etc etc If you keep having these gloomy mornings or feel like quite anxious then go to your GP and have your dose re-evaluated

Thanks I do need to see my GP before I get my next prescription anyway so I'll mention it to her then. I'm going to ask to be referred for CBT too. On the whole I'm better than I was so I shouldn't let a blip get me down

Good I am glad you are starting to feel the benefits of SSRI's and yes do mention it to your doctor it is important to keep him/her up to date about how you are feeling during the course of your treatment (easier said than done I know). Great CBT combined with SSRI's might really benefit you This blip is just a reminder of how human we are and you are still on the road to recovery so give it some more time (again easier said then done)
