panic and anxiety

Hi all,

Can panic attacks and anxiety cause you bad chest pains. when you breath in?

my gp says in the letter that i've to take to the hospital with me.

I was just wondering, I checked the infor on the left hand side of the page, right now, too much info for me to read.

when im feeling bit better, I'll read it all.

The answer is YES. Chest pain can be caused by anxiety. I suffer from this sort of pain on varying levels from time to time. All other possibilities have been ruled out?

Anxiety can cause many chest pains that you would have thought not possible. However, it does.

Thank you everyone, this helps, found out was not my anxiety or panic attacks. Ive a clot in my lung. Im grateful for the information on anxiety and chest pains. This helps.

Yes anxiety can in the sense that you're muscles can get sore, but if it's every single time you breath in and doesn't go away it's always good to see your GP.

Sorry to hear you had a clot : ( good thing you went back to your doctor, I do think we know when something might not be simple anxiety and we need to get it checked out.
