Question When did your prozac kick in?

Hi, since so many on this site are struggling with the startup on fluoxetine/prozac, I thought we could make a thread just for reporting when in kicked in? It would be very nice if you who have a good effect could just post how long it took. It could be a good encouragement for those struggling with the startup side-effects.

For me, it took at least 6 weeks on 10 mg, but I had to increase the dose to 20 mg at 14 weeks.

Are you taking it for anxiety or depression?

Ok the reason I ask is that it never touched my panic attacks and I was on it for a year. It helped with depression though

Do you cope with anxiety/ depression without medication now? I starting to give up on fluoxetine working for me, so maybe I will try self-help without the meds x

He had a test which said the amount of serotonin was too low think, but basically he discovered that the dosage was below the level for it to make a difference , this does not mean that 10mg will not work on someone else, as we are all different. But in the uk 20mg is the lowest dose as test carried out showed 20mg is more likely to help x
