    Palpable lymph nodes....

    What's the deal with them?
Is a lymph node technically only classed as swollen when it can be seen?
Or when it stops moving around?
I have loads of palpable lymph nodes and been checked and told it's all okay...what's the deal :S

    Re: Palpable lymph nodes....

Some people can feel them, some can't. Some are naturally larger than others. Up to 2cm can sometimes be considered normal. Even if you can feel them, this doesn't mean they are swollen, and even if they are swollen, this doesn't mean that it is due to cancer. I have learned the hard way to leave my nodes alone - apparently if you feel them more than once a month it becomes too difficult to notice changes and makes it less noticeable when something worrisome happens!
