I feel like I'm running out of time I can't cope and now my family are missing out
Hi, have you been to a doctor and are you taking any medication?
People are individuals, they will cope in their own way. You didn't say if you do anything relating to depression, such as exercise, writing, going to MIND or anything they have to offer. I doubt your family would want you to worry about you worrying about them. It is a life situation not of your making, a pat to them a little kiss. A short walk together. Let them rub your head or let them come with you to the doctor so they can tell him/her what they are witnessing when you feel bad. They just want you to feel good and if they can help then they will, otherwise they will all try to help in ways that may not be helpful. It will pass. Hiding under the duvet can help and the kids can sit and read if small. Your wife can go out with her friends and you can begin to heal, or a way will come to you. Going to a gym, if you can copy with it can be helpful after a while. MIND have buddies and freebies such as yoga and although it may not appeal to you, it is worth trying once. Depressions have their reasons, you did not cause it. It is not your fault.
