Hey guys so today is my 23rd birthday also my second anxiety disorder and depression anniversary so it's the worst day ever all I feel like I'm going to do is die :( my hearts gnna stop and I keep picturing my family at my funeral these irrational thoughts are scarring me to death :( does anyone else get this x

Happy birthday! i get these thoughts from time to time, normally with me its worrying the other way round though, i worry about other people, my family, friends etc. CBT helped this a lot, i really do recommend it.

I know how you are feeling, as I've had those horrible negative thoughts too, especially as I've been heading towards 30. It has improved over the last few weeks since I sought help, though.

Hi. lourah. My goodness; I am well past your age, in fact 3 times more+. HAPPY BIRTHDAY although that may sound a bit hollow at the moment. Irrational thoughts occur because you are tired and 'sensitised'.
Your heart wont stop and you will most certainly not be going to your own funeral!!!. I know; we have all had these thoughts from time to time and you need to go along with them. If you try to 'fight' them off they just get stronger because you feed them more of your already depleted enegy. Of course the thoughts scare you. Who wouldn't be scared, but if you accept them for the moment and do not give them so much importance they will subside. Yes, they will, believe me. Try and have a relatively calm birthday and good luck. joe.
