    heights fear is getting worse?

I have a fear of heights ... recently it has been getting worse. I am ok if it is a secure area, like I went to the top of the empire state building and that was fine because there was no risk of me falling off. But things like ladders, roller coasters/amusement park rides, ski lifts, etc all scare me.

For some reason it is getting worse. This weekend I had to go on a very tall, thin escalator and as it got higher I started having a panic attack because I kept getting intrusive images of myself losing my balance and falling. Then I got light-headed and started to lose my balance because I was panicking ...

Wondering why it is getting worse all of a sudden ...

I don't know why it is getting worse, but for me, I had to face my fear head on. That and a lot of prayer. God can do amazing things when we ask him too.

Just the thought of going up the Empire State Building gives me the here heebie jeebies.
The more you think about it the more you worry.
I need to face my height fear soon because it can take over your life if you let it.
I changed jobs just to get away from working on the 9th floor of a building. That has now spiralled into me not even being able to go across road bridges.
I will drive across or jump on a bus.
