Back, this time it's not about me..

    I'm terrified.
Yesterday my boyfriend showed me a mole on his back that has been itching.
He said it as itchy for about half hour yesterday and was itchy again about 3 days ago.

I have insominia so while he sleeps I'm awake, I never see him itch it at night, infact I've never seen him itch it full stop.

The mole is the same colour as his other moles, it's slightly raised, symmetrical, doesn't bleed, doesn't have rough edges. It looks and feels fine, it's just the itching. It's about 4mm in size and I've heard near enough all skin cancer is over 6mm.

Do you think it's anything serious? Is itching a symptom after the melonama has started to grow and scab?

I'm sure it's nothing dangerous but I think he should get it removed if it itches, simply because if he scratches it repeatedly it can get infected etc.

Dangerous moles are usually the flat, black ones, at least I was told so by my dermatologist...
