Anyone else taking Dosulepin?

I have not taken that particular med but I see it's a tri-cyclic and, in my experience, tri-cyclics have fewer side-effects than SSRI's. I wish you all the best.

I'm concerned my gp shouldn't be prescribing it to me as it says specialists should only prescribe it (in the bnf). The heart risks scare me so much, I took it last night and had palpitations which made me worry all night:/

I take it not many prescribe it these days.

I've taken it in the past, it was one of the best ADs I've ever been on, much better than the SSRIs for me. My Doc won't prescribe it now though because of the health risks (to someone overweight and in their 40s, i.e. me).

I'm 33, slim, don't smoke etc... The heart risks really scare me:((( I'm terrified after I've taken it, keep checking my heart:((( I'm on my third night if being on it now, doubt I will ever relax about the heart risk:(

I'm 54 and have taken them for 8 years. I used to take 125 mg and have never had any problems, stop worrying xx
