I used to always lie on my side but now if I do it it wakes me up as it makes me feel sick

Hi Nick, do you eat anything near to the time you go to bed? When I complain to GP about nausea when lying down he suggested I do not eat too much near bed time. I try not to have to much after about 7pm, but I have acid reflux as well as IBS.
Not sure if this is the same with you, but this is just my experience. Have you asked GP about it?
I try and avoid food before I go to bed but it doesnt make a difference
asked doc but she just gives me tablets and says its worries

I suffer from IBS and often get a wave of nausea which comes on out of the blue and makes me want to retch.
I do find that ginger helps (used to hate the stuff) in particular I find that nibbling on the Nairns ginger oatcakes help. Also when I was pregnant I suffered alot with nausea and found the only thing which helped was to carry a lemon or grapefruit around with me pierce the skin with my fingernails and take a big sniff! I must have looked a bit odd but it really does help
