Hormones!!!!!

Hello :-)

Just alittle advise and reassurance. I seem to be getting alot worse with my anxiety and intrusive thoughts right around when my period starts. It's alittle difficult at the moment as I'm trying for a family but thinking should I start the pill to balance out the hormones. Has anybody had it bad with anxiety when pregnant, a few women have said they feel better when pregnant but I'm abit sceptical really I suppose I'm frightened as I feel my heads not right but don't want to delay trying ahhhhhhhhh lol :-)

I'm always worse with/before my period - that's gotten worse as I've got older (am 39 now). When I was pregnant, I didn't really notice increased anxiety, but I was a b***h from hell and wanted to kill everyone. And I slept alot. And ate... A LOT! I'm not sure, but I guess it's certain hormone levels dropping off when you're coming up to/starting your period that causes the increased anxiety - and I suppose these hormones don't drop off when you get pregnant? I must admit, outside of the rage (really only towards my partner, who was a k**b) I actually felt quite... serene? I didn't get panic attacks whilst pregnant.
