HELP!Starting sertraline

Good morning all,I am on my fifth day of Sertraline after coming off Citalopram. I have very light sleep, a panic on waking,& a bad burning type pain in the middle just below my sternum. Is this normal does anybody else have these symptoms? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't worry, this is very common with ADs and will last a couple of weeks. Days 5-7 are the worst, in my experience. Try your best to stay distracted and, if you find it's really too much, ask your GP for some short-term help such as beta blockers which help the physical symptoms you're describing.

I'm sure lots of other members will be able to advise you as a lot of us have been exactly where you are.

Hi hun, just be careful with Sertraline as the side effects can be really bad so make sure that you know what they are and if in doubt at all see your doctor straight away.

I had a severe reaction to Sertraline and it actually caused me to reress with my depression to the point I actually lost the plot because I just assumed that is what I was meant to feel like because I listened to other people and didn't listen to me and what my body was telling me.

Hi Strat

When i started i was drowsy for a week or so after i took it. I also still get the burning in my sternum form time to time.
