Hi all, I have been suffering anxiety and depression for over a year now. I was put on lexapro 6 months ago but it only helped about 50% of the time so 3 weeks ago my doctor switched me to prozac. I felt ok the first week or so but the last 8 days have been hell. I wake up evey morning with like electricity surging through my body or adrenalin. Then all day long I feel increased anxiety, depressed, agitated and highly strung. My hands also shake.
What is happening to me? Are these side effects? I went to see my dr today and told her everything and her suggestion was to increase my dosage from 20 to 30. She said they can't be side effects as they would have started straight away. Yet I read on here others who has side effects last weeks.
I just don't know what to do. I am frightened to increase as it may make me worse?
Please give me some hope or your experience.
