Swollen vein under tongue..

I was having lunch and was kind of sucking on a cookie, don't ask, and noticed that under my tongue felt odd, so I looked and got shocked when I saw a huge red vein... it looks like a vericose vein. It's red and popping. What is this? I hope it is just a vein and not something else My anxiety is very high right now. Anyone ever had this?

I just went to the mirror and looked at mine and I got 2 large veins under my tongue that stick out quite a bit, don't know if its the ones your on about tho . sorry I can't help no more.

Thank you for your responding. It isn't a purple vein, its blood red and protuding on one side only. I hope its not serious.

I have the same thing. I think there would be a problem if there WEREN'T any veins under your tongue.
