Hi i've just been diagnosed with depression/anxiety and the doctor has given me 10mg of citalopram to be taken once a day. I had the first one this morning - don't know if it's the placebo effect or because I've been posting on here (see introduce yourself forum) but i feel calmer already!
Is this usual? I find I'm yawning a lot tho!!!!

Nice to meet u. Ive been taking the same medication for a few years now and it has helped me a lot. Not unusual that you feel calmer already, it kicks in pretty quick lol. You may find that your a bit drowsy because your just getting used to it. Give it time. If you find your getting too drowsy make sure you tell your doc, but im sure they'll monitor that anyway.
