    Kava Kava and citalopram??

Anyone ever tried? I read on one site it said not to take psychoactive medications with kava kava because there's been no tests to see how it mixes with other drugs.

I should be safe enough, yeah? I can't imagine it would kill me.

Well Kava Kava is banned in this country so it is hard to know the interaction it may cause.

    Pete,

I take the odd Kava Kava with Prozac and don't think it's any more toxic for the liver than say taking an SSRI with diazipam which is often prescribed by GPs. There is no empircal evidence to suggest that Kava Kava is any better or worse than many 'anxiety' drugs.

    Thanks

Well, I didn't die, so if anyone else wants to try it with citalopram, you won't either

I can't really say that there's that much of a massive difference for me, I guess I should try it when i'm feeling alot more anxious.
