Fluoxetine

Hi - does anyone know whether its ok to take diazepam with Fluoxetine which I have just started - side effects are overwhelming.

And if so what dosage - I have 2mg tablets for when I fly.

Yes Andrew you can and will probably need them to get you through the side effects which can be really bad and were for me although worth it in the end. You may find that 2mg are not enough I needed 5mg but see how you go they do help.

Many thanks for your kind reply - it's just for back up as last night I woke up during the night and was struggling with side effects and wondered was it ok to take to try and relax.

Everyone is different and I only took them as a last resort and like you when I felt I needed them was in the night when I just could not sleep even though I was so tired. In hindsight I wish I had used them more and been kinder on myself but I did get through, it took to nearly six weeks and it was very up and down and I really hit rock bottom a few times but once they started to work it was like a miracle. There is lots of support on here and I would not have got through it without it.
