    ECGs, how much can they tell us?

    As per most of my posts, I fear my heart giving up on me.

    Im now in the process of rationalizing my thoughts regarding this and got to thinking;
    My last ECG was just over a month ago after having a mega panic attack and having a paramedic out. Was wandering how much an ECG actually picks up??? I was told my heart looked and sounded fine, but would an ECG miss much?

    Many thanks in advance

    Ughhhh, I always worry about my heart also, I get chest pains all the time, and I constantly check my pulse. It stinks,( I don't have to go to the gym to do any cardio exercises, I get that workout everyday, sitting down!, my heart pounds, lol) I have had ecg's, and they can tell a lot. I know I have heard that, they could miss things, but my Doctor says they are pretty darn efficient. They can tell a lot. Not likely to miss a problem. Hope you feel better soon.
